The water level at Lake Hodges was very low in September 2012 (it was a dry winter, and a hot summer), and a lot of dead trees (or their remainders) and bushes were visible that are otherwise submerged. Add some morning fog, and it’s a surprisingly nice and somewhat mystic sight as the fog gently hides any disturbing background…
