Ellie Lane Trail (5 photos)

May 1st and the marine layer was on time to deliver “May Gray”, pushing deep inland, all the way to Ramona. I love the hazy eastward views from the coastal foothills when the light plays on the rocky hills and the landscape disappears in the distance. It’s very peaceful to just stand there and take this scenery in.

I prefer the hike on Ellie Lane trail instead of the (much busier) Iron Mountain trail. I believe I’ve said that before. :) It’s a nice and relatively easy 6-mile loop that only incorporates a short section of the “Autobahn” hiking trail that leads up to Iron Mountain.

Stay up to date with my blogposts and subscribe via email. It’s easy and you’ll never receive more than one post per day.

  1. Nice grouping Alex.
The Pacific has a good supply of added aerial interest thankfully. I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than to depict the always-changing light within the landscape frame.
    Well done
