Visiting Arroyo Tapiado again – probably the most fascinating place in southern Anza-Borrego’s Carrizo Badlands area. My friend Hans and I explored one of the bigger mud caves (Chasm Cave), then a shorter side-arm of Arroyo Tapiado with a natural bridge, and finally went up to the mud hills west of the arroyo for sunset, where the most stunning landscape features can be found.
