Blue Movement

I’ve always been fond of using intentional camera movement (ICM) to create abstract photographs. I think I first saw images like that on the website of renowned nature photographer Bjørn Rørslett (legacy website). I captured the above photo on an afternoon walk with Toni; one side of the trail was in the shade already, allowing for exposure times just long enough to play with ICM. Setting the camera white balance to “daylight” rendered the colors in the shade in a cool blue.
