April Summary

April passed in what felt like a breeze – and spring storms, awesome hikes, outings with friends and a little road trip with Shuwen have left me with plenty of new photos to cull, edit, process and publish. My April folder contains over 500 images – and that’s without having another hummingbird nest at the house! :-) Time to have a look back at the activities here on the site, to wrap things up.

Portfolio Additions

Most of my newer photos still need time to ripen. What I rated as “5 stars” in my photo management software now (indicating a portfolio quality photo, or at least what I think is one) may not pass the test of time, while photos that I did not rate as high may grow on me later. It’s not really easy to keep track of that, especially since I’m blogging a lot more since 2015, and thus add a lot more photos to the site. So for now, the sole really new addition to a portfolio gallery is the image below. :-)

Buried Wings -- Seaside State Beach/South Cardiff State Beach, Solana Beach, California. April 2016.

Blog Post Archives

I didn’t add as many older photos to my archives as I hoped this month so this list is rather short:

Archive Additions

As announced last month, I’ve reactivated my archive-subpages to be able to give images that don’t have a larger context (ie. they don’t appear in blog posts or portfolio galleries) a very loosely themed “home” – here’s a gallery of recently added photos that have been added to these archives.

And that’s it! Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more – and stay up to date with my blogposts and subscribe via email. It’s easy and you’ll get an email when I publish a new post.
