We made a little afternoon cruise to Palomar Mountain and hiked down to the Love Valley meadow. After plenty of rain, it’s the first time for me to see the pond there with water – it’s highly ephemeral and very shallow of course, but a really nice sight.
There’s some more rain on the way so hopefully it will last a little bit longer – as you can see, today’s conditions weren’t really that favorable: overcast and windy, the photo with oaks reflecting in the shallow water that I had envisioned wasn’t possible. Since this is one of Toni’s favorite places anyway, she won’t mind to return – and neither will I. :-)
