An evening visit to the tide pools at Swami’s State Beach in Encinitas. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been here, in 2013.
The rock shelves there look quite good and are an interesting element to play with, but I think the negative tide was a bit too much, actually (similar to Hospital Point). A disarray of rather unattractive stuff was exposed, messy, and with a weird color palette too.
Past sunset the tide was coming in again and made it a little bit better, and now that I’ve looked at the photos long enough and obsessed about how to develop them (they’re the last photos from December that I hadn’t processed), I actually quite like them. Or maybe that’s just because this is not such a familiar place for me…subscribe via email (the subscription form opens in a new browser window/tab). It's easy as pie! :-)
