Back to Hollenbeck (4 photos)

It was almost a bit late for the annually recurring Spring visit to Hollenbeck Canyon – the grasses out in the open were already drying and turning to their beige-golden color; only in the shade of the trees it was still green.

I took my friend Tracy Schultze along, showing him the beautiful riparian oak “forest” in a hollow between the hills. (Joe first took me there three years ago.) It was an almost cloudless day and even though we met early it warmed up quickly, but in the shade of the oaks it was a pretty splendid morning.

Please support me if you like what I'm doing, either with a one-time donation (any amount) or an annual subscription (starting at $36 per year). I also offer affordable small & medium size prints, beautiful folio sets, and open-edition fine art prints, in my print-on-demand store. Your support matters!
