Here are three “leftovers” from my hike at the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve. I don’t know how this old car ended up in Temecula Canyon of the Santa Margarita River, but I’m fairly certain that it has seen quite some “river action” and got beat up by Mother Nature really good – in the shape of many floods that ravaged the canyon. Flooding took out the entire railroad that foolish & feeble men built in the canyon, twice. A single car is child’s play compared to that. ;-)
I found this destroyed object sitting there oddly appealing. Maybe it’s the color combination, or the fact that it’s actually overgrown by poison-oak.
Also, bullet holes, yes – “cuz ‘Murrica!” – sigh…Thanks for reading! You can stay up to date with my blogposts and subscribe via email (the subscription form opens in a new browser window/tab). It's easy as pie! :-)
