Some photos from the waterfalls around Heutal/Unken in Austria, and Weissbachfall near Inzell in Germany.
I actually wanted to hike Sonntagshorn and brought my tripod along to make some photos of the creeks on the way up. However, when I arrived at the staging area/parking lot after the two-hour drive from Burghausen, I realized that I had forgotten my hiking boots, and only had my sandals! I hiked on the easy part of the trail until I reached the first spot that I wanted to photograph.
Another hiker soon came along and he looked vaguely familiar – it was Eugen, whom I had run into before on a hike to Aibleck, one year prior! And it turned out he’s also quite fond of waterfalls. :) He was on a big loop hike and I joined him for the section that would lead us to more waterfalls. We photographed Fischbachfall and Staubfall together and then parted. On my way home I stopped at Weissbachfall to finish the waterfall-day. :)
