Three more photos from the rugged slot canyon in the Coyote Mountains Wilderness, from the January hike with my friends Dave and Kevin, which I described in my photo of the month post for January.
“Slot Canyon Ghosts” (the third photo in the little gallery below) was actually a strong contender for the photo of the month, but ultimately, I picked the other photo, for the reasons that I described in the post linked above.
A bit of “tech” background and/or a photography lesson here: clean the front element of your lenses, especially wide angle lenses, repeatedly. During the hike in the dusty terrain some fine dust particles had settled on it, and boy did they show, with the small bright light source in these photos. Took me a while to clone/heal and fix them…
