Desert Images

This year is the first Winter that I feel capable to both thoroughly enjoy the whole desert experience, in hiking as well as photographing. It is a landscape so vastly different from everything else that I used to photograph, I guess it’s only natural that it takes time to absorb it and realize the photographic potential.

December, January and February I was on 7 hikes and photo outings to the desert with friends, more than in the previous Winters combined. As I began to add more images recently, I created a new portfolio category “Desert” that will hold images of all kinds, complementing the tighter selection of the black & white slot canyon gallery that I’ve been working on for a while already.
