June is a lovely time for walks at the beach – summer seems far away, there’s not too many people out, and it’s nice and cool under the thick marine layer that is nick-named “June Gloom”. On this particular evening the tide was coming in and a lot of plant material that had been washed ashore was littering the beach. I always like to look for close-ups of nature’s random arrangements then:
Toni and I absolved our usual walk at the southern part of Cardiff State Beach, to the “Tabletops” tide pool area at Seaside Beach, which lies just north of Solana Beach (yes, all these names can be confusing!). The tide was coming in and we didn’t stay too long this time.
