A walk through the chaparral hills around 4S Ranch during a foggy spring morning. The fog was pretty excellent that morning, very dense, cool and fresh. I walked down on the old road at the end of Alva Road that leads down to the waterline of Lake Hodges. It once connected 4S Ranch with the area on the north shore of the lake (nowadays the community of Del Dios), before the damn was built and the valley was flooded by the lake’s waters.
