Hospital Point

Another visit to the tide pools and beach at La Jolla’s Hospital Point. With low tide just before sunrise and a thick marine layer that lasted late into the morning, conditions were absolutely wonderful for long exposure work. The receding tide left the rocks damp and dark and all the potholes and cracks filled with water. It was a very productive morning, with 9 photos that I feel happy enough with to show here captured in only something like 2 hours.

    1. Thank you very much Joe! I’m quite happy with the set indeed. And, to quote Ansel Adams once more: “A good photograph is knowing where to stand” – I felt quite aware of what I was doing that morning, similar to the Point Loma session (very happy with those too)… it must be your company… or the sense of competition! ;)
