Huckinger See, Early December

Impressions from an afternoon walk in the cold, damp and dark forest around the Hucking Lakes (Huckinger Seen). Everything was dripping wet as a dusting of early snow was slowly melting in warmer daytime temperatures – and as sunset grew closer and it got colder again, the fog rose in the forest and from the waters. It was spooky and enchanting at the same time.

On small-screen devices like phones or tablets, you can just scroll down. On larger screens, you may also click on any image to open it in the slideshow gallery view. For the best effect, I suggest switching your browser to fullscreen mode then. This is usually done by pressing the F11 key (and again, or ESC, to switch back).
