  1. Hi Alex, I have always loved this quote from Tolle and have it stuck on a wall in my studio. The image that really speaks to me in this blog is Introversion. I could look at that forever, feeling the spacious expanse, knowing too what it feels like to look out at the ocean as though it is just the sea and you. You’ve captured something profound here. (I may have to purchase a print of this!)

  2. That’s certainly a place I’d like to visit more often. It’s interesting, too, how when I do make it there I don’t realize it until afterwards. Somehow I just slowly fade away and become a part of whatever it is I’m doing, then I sort of snap out of it and realize I just had one of those great moments when things were just flowing. I love the beautifully peaceful collection of photographs. Often I find the simpler the photograph the more power it holds (for me, at least).

    • Thanks, Todd! The same thing also happens to me occasionally when I’m out running, and I only realize it when I snap out of it: “oh hey, I’ve also been running” :) — funny how that works! :)

  3. Gorgeous work, Alex. ‘Introversion’ is my favorite. Such perfect gradation from the foreground into the distance.
