Is that Buckwheat, Honey?

One of the joys of learning more about the chaparral (through the class I’m taking with the California Chaparral Institute) is that it brings forth a renewed curiosity for my surroundings, and especially the details. It’s the simple things!

A bee on “some Buckwheat” probably wouldn’t have sparked my photographic interest before. With growing knowledge about the chaparral however comes a growing desire to hold on to the beauty that lies in this vast ecosystem – and what better way could there be to hold on to it than making photos?
