Some black & white images from an afternoon/evening visit to La Jolla’s Hospital/Nicholson Point in October 2014. One of these outings were I did some cherry-picking and published the color images, then moved on, and forgot about the rest of the photos that work better in black & white. These are all fairly long exposures, with exposure times ranging between 2 and 4 minutes.
The minimalism of the first image “Amnesia” is quite appealing to me, but I guess my favorite is the last image, “Turbedo” (latin for “storm” or “cloudiness”). I like how dark and smooth the rocks look… but I do wonder how it will print.
