La Jolla Shores Tide Pool Details

Another negative tide outing, this time to the southern end of La Jolla Shores. I was curious if it was possible to get to the sea caves – which was only a partial success. Even at -1.2 feet, it’s not really possible to get further than the first one or two deeper pockets in the cliff, especially with some sets of higher waves rolling in frequently. I focused on the details once more.

The color combinations of the rocks, moss and algae in the tide pools were quite lovely. Fitting for Christmas Eve, perhaps! Wishing you all Happy Holidays, no matter which abstraction of the Winter Solstice festivities you celebrate. ;-)
