More Fog

Three more images from the same foggy morning (yesterday). Quite often, there’s more than one interpretation of an image, because there’s more than a single “key element” in an image, and also because it’s not always possible to give all elements of a scenery the same weight in its final rendition without decreasing the overall impression of the work.

In this set of three photos, I tried to concentrate on the obscuring quality of fog, and accentuated the difference between light and dark to heighten that impression. A secondary, and most lovely subject, is of course the dry grass, sprinkled with glistening morning dew that made it appear more like straws of silver.

I’m waiting for more foggy mornings…
