My third hike in Yosemite was relatively short (just steep) so I took the time to stop at scenic Tenaya Lake in the morning, to enjoy the peace and solitude (in the afternoons and evenings, it was always rather busy there).
The sun was just peeking around the corner, thin plumes of mist were wafting over the calm waters – it’s one of these “trophy” locations for photos that is simply irresistible. The first photo is at Dana Meadows, near Yosemite’s eastern entrance at Tioga Pass – Mammoth Peak in morning light looked good decorated with some clouds. The other seven images are from different spots along Tenaya Lake’s northern shore.
