One last image from my Palomar Mountain trip last week. What’s more beautiful than an old-growth Manzanita with its twisted and gnarly branches? An old-growth Manzanita, in the rain!
Because of the rain, I was struggling to keep the front element of the lens free from raindrops (the particular lens I was using doesn’t have a hood). This is a panorama stitched from three photos and as usual, I’ve uploaded it a bit larger – when you click on the photo it will open bigger, in a new browser window/tab, without any lightbox or anything. I suggest you press F11 to set your browser to fullscreen for the best effect.
Update: this is also my photo of the month for October 2015. Pricing in the print store has been adjusted.
