Daley Ranch has a number of beautiful trails to offer but my favorite is the northern part, starting from the Cougar Pass Road trailhead/staging area. Our very first hike in the area, back in December 2010, was here, so maybe that’s why. Back then, I was immediately enchanted by the beautiful stands of oaks in the wetter ravines and hollows, and I still am to this day (as countless other blog posts about these riparian woodlands show;-).
The Friday hikes & walks with my friend Fred so far have been documented on my personal blog, mostly with phone photos. This time I brought the “real” camera and the images have a theme and appearance that I like enough to post them here on my photo website. :)
Hiking info: I’ve logged the hike with GaiaGPS if you want to find out more. Please read my remarks with the logged track for some details.
Stay up to date with my blogposts and subscribe via email. It’s easy and you’ll never receive more than one post per day.
