During a visit to Oceanside Pier, when the marine layer ate the sunset once more (and it’s kind of famous for doing that to photographers;-) I decided to go under the pier for a long exposure photo.
To get the symmetry and balance of the photo right, I went with a free-form aspect ratio that doesn’t adhere to the standard 2:3 format of DSLRs, and not a vertical 9:16 either:
Prints available in my store.
For the next image, I channeled Nathan Wirth instead, and tried a long exposure self portrait. It went quite well I think — I managed to hold almost entirely still for the entire 25 seconds of the exposure
I like it.
Happy to hear that, Derek. It was a fun experiment! :)
Good to “see” you! One of those rare instances when a selfie enhances the overall image.
Thank you Susan! :-)
