A triptych of 16×7 wide format images. I observed these clouds during a hike at Boden Canyon, between Escondido and Ramona.
There was absolutely nothing that would have worked as a foreground, and I don’t mean that there was nothing available, but rather that adding a tree or even just a chaparral and bolder dotted hill would have meant adding more complex objects to this already complex sky, which would have resulted in completely overloading the frame. Instead, I reduced my selection to just the sky and chose the wide, classic 16×7 panoramic format for it. I think it fits and supports the subject very well.
