I don’t know how I managed to entirely miss Rancho Penasquitos Canyon Preserve during my now ~1.5 years here in San Diego. It’s (relatively) close to our home, and it’s beautiful! A creek that runs year-round in Southern California, feeding ponds and a wonderful riparian ecosystem around it, simply amazing!
I didn’t venture too far during this first visit, I did a little loop-hike/walk with Toni at the trails on the northern side of the creek, but I’ll be back for sure, there’s much to explore here…
