Silene laciniata is commonly known as Indian Pink and Cardinal catchfly, but also Mexican Pink or Campion. This particular one was actually quite long, and not upright as shown in my photo – I tilted the camera for the illusion of a bold, upright flower. The center is “stacked” to get the anthers in focus along with the petals.
