Wrentits often hide more or less well in the bushes and aren’t easy to photograph unobstructed. I was lucky to get this photo when the little brown bird hopped and fluttered up high on this branch. He only remained there for a few seconds, proclaiming the territory with his signature call, before seeking the protection of the dense foliage of a nearby bush again.
