After driving from Paso Robles to the coast on Highway 46 West, we arrived at Pismo Beach in the evening, where we stayed for the night. We picked the place mostly because it was conveniently located, at a distance that would allow us a more or less leisurely drive home to San Diego on the following day.
I didn’t make any photos in the evening though. After the many photos I made along Highway 46, I felt somewhat exhausted, and any spontaneity for seeing things photographically was depleted (and also, sunsets are overrated anyway – except when they’re not;-).
Our hotel was directly at Pismo Beach, near the pier, so I went there for a walk with Toni the next morning – because beaches in the early morning are nice. Clean sand, few people, peace and quiet. I only made some photos with the phone but for the sake of completeness, I’m including three of them here. I actually like them quite a bit. :-)
