"Frosted Candy" -- Rhus integrifolia Berries (Lemonade Berry), Black Mountain Open Space Park, San Diego, California. April 2018.

The white sap on the berries that looks like sugar icing/coating tastes actually sour, like lemonade – giving the plant its name, Lemonade Berry. One could pluck the berries and use them to infuse water with the sour, refreshing taste.
