White-flowering Currant (Ribes indecorum) under an Engelmann Oak (Quercus engelmannii). West Side Road, Ramona, California, February 2019. Prints available.
Ribes indecorum, the White-flowering Currant, is always among the first shrubs to bloom in spring, and in 2019, it was exceptionally pretty in many places. This beautiful specimen chose to grow at the base of my favorite oaks on an evening hike near Ramona.
