Ribes under Oak, West Side Road

Ribes indecorum, the White-flowering Currant, is always among the first shrubs to bloom in spring, and in 2019, it was exceptionally pretty in many places. This beautiful specimen chose to grow at the base of my favorite oaks on an evening hike near Ramona.
