Point Sal Pastures (3 photos)

We drove from Guadalupe Dunes to Casmalia to find a restaurant that a friend had recommended. Along the way we took a side road (maybe we just made a wrong turn) and saw these pastures in evening light.

The grass was reduced to a stubble by grazing cows but the simplicity of the lines, fence and dirt road was quite compelling. Except that I cloned away a horrible irrigation line in the photo with the tree. How such beautiful landscapes are brutalized with the raw functionality of crude man-made stuff will always be irritating to me…
