I made these photos during the desert hikes in the cooler months early in the year. Desert vegetation is different, and very interesting. It’s fascinating how a little bush finds enough soil and moisture to grow out of a crack in some massive granite boulder, and how a little spot in the shade provides just enough shelter for some delicate green leaves, despite the harsh conditions. Life finds a way in the most unlikely places and barren landscapes.
