minutiae is the plural form of minutia (mĭ-no͞oˈshē-ə, -shə, -nyo͞oˈ-), n. “A small or trivial detail; precise details; small or trifling matters; a minute or minor detail; a small detail or piece of information, sometimes unimportant.”
One of the most enjoyable things about being out in the desert is the combination of vast emptiness and intricate details. If you just pause for a moment and look down and around you, you’ll find plenty of fascinating details. The Desert Minutiae gallery below showcases some of them that I saw.
