At the confluence of the rivers Inn and Salzach (the so-called Innspitz, probably best translated as “tip of the Inn river”), the floodplains form a very narrow and long tip of land with a little hiking path that leads all the way to “Lands End”, where one is surrounded by water all around, with the Salzach river on the right when looking southeast, and the Inn river to the left. It’s a beautiful and quiet, albeit rather long walk that I often made with Toni and the camera on weekends, or whenever I had the time to complete the 3-hour out and back hike.
