“When there is love, there is beauty. When love is drying up in your life, look for the beauty around you. That is where love can be found.” (Haemin Sunim, Zen Buddhist teacher)
Twelve more photos of flowers, bushes and shrubs in bloom in San Diego County’s fabulous spring of 2019. The ample amount of winter rains has brought out flowers that I have not seen before in certain places, or never at all! The Slender Pod Jewelflower (first photo below) for example is growing along a trail that I’ve walked with Toni a hundred times over the past eight years…

Wonderful captures … each and every one! I am glad you got the rain needed to enjoy this year’s wonderful crop of wildflowers. It will be awhile here before the snow melts and the mountain roads are accessible. I’m ready however … now that we have a high clearance jeep to get up into the basins!
BEautiful!
Thanks Mark!

Thank you Denise! Happy to hear that you got a capable vehicle for future explorations – steer clear of these piles of snow though, please! ;-)
