In the 2 1/2 half years that I’ve been living in San Diego now, I’ve never been to the beaches to the north. Swami’s is a particularly popular place with surfers, a long wooden stairway goes down to the beach. The features at the beach are somewhat limited, but it’s a nice change of scenery and shapes, after I have photographed areas further south more or less regularly.

I made these 4 photos in the evening of an overcast July day in a time span of about 1.5 hours. I’ve been experimenting with different neutral density filters to slow down the exposures, and times range from 3 seconds to 118 seconds.
