Photos from a walk in the woods of Weilhartsforst near Wanghausen in Austria. An old forest road leads to a small chapel built over a well called “Heilbrünnl” (“healing well”). Its water is said to have a positive effect on the eyes. I can’t really say anything about that, but it was one of the favorite nearby destinations for walking the dog. Oh and, the water is cold and clear and tastes good. :)

Huckinger Seen in Autumn
Here are a few impressions from an afternoon walk in the woods near Tarsdorf in Austria, at the peaceful little Huckinger lakes. The forest floor is moist and damp now, and many of the trees have already shed most of their leaves. The scenery is serene and peaceful, quiet except for the quacking of the mallards, which eerily echoes through the woods and adds a ghostly element to the atmosphere.
October hike to Sonntagshorn
Another hike to Sonntagshorn – this time in quite different conditions, compared to my “First Ascent” in June. Clouds obscured much of the landscape, and strong black & whites with heavy contrast seem to be the perfect fit to transport the drama of shifting light and shadow on the landscape.
Forest Tranquility at Huckinger See
