Early in April we hiked one of our favorite springtime areas: the Sylvan Meadows portion of the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, near Murrieta in Riverside County. The reserve lies at the southern end of the Santa Ana mountains, and the Sylvan Meadows, north of Clinton Keith Road, are the part of it where dogs are allowed. Toni approves of this hike!
Late October hike at the Sylvan Meadows of Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve – everything was pretty dry and desperately waiting for winter rains – I went for a somewhat pale, high-key like look to go with this time of the year in Southern California.
Some photographic impressions from the “Sylvan Meadows” area of Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve. This is the portion of the reserve that lies north of Clinton Keith Road, and dogs are allowed on the trails here. Toni was very happy about that!
