A couple more photos from my recent low tide/negative tide outings to Point Loma, Sunset Cliffs and La Jolla Shores. Maps of Other Planets

Another low tide outing, this time to the Point Loma tide pool area, with Joseph. Only some wispy high clouds in the air and not exactly pleasant light. Low tide was ~3pm and the area is closed at 4.30pm so we had to look for the details. At the northern end of the tide pool area, near the entrance to the sea cave, the strata and layers of the cliff were in the shade, and partially still glistening wet. The shapes and colors made me think of abstract maps of other planets.
