Rainy weather often means I head out into the back country. Last weekend, I’ve been following my usual route, which leads me to Santa Ysabel/Mesa Grande, the Cottonwood tree at Lake Henshaw, and to the eastern part of the area formerly known as “San Jose del Valle”, a Mexican land grant that is part of the Vista irrigation district’s property around Lake Henshaw nowadays.
Just one day after I made my photo of the month for March at the Cottonwood tree, I just had to stop and make another photo of it – I liked how the rain clouds obscured the mountains and landscape in the distance this time!
