On one of my recent walks with Toni at nearby Lake Hodges I found many little wildflowers out and in bloom. After snapping some photos with the cellphone, Shuwen and I returned Saturday morning to more thoroughly study them with our cameras.
I had somehow forgotten (or suppressed;-) how strenuous macro photography of the “really really close” kind can be. Crouching on the ground, trying to balance distance to focus, composition and depth of field with a macro lens, or even worse, a prime lens in retro position, is surprisingly tiresome! Good thing the wildflowers are mostly out in Spring. ;)
For now, here are six photos. I hope you like them. I wasn’t able to identify the flowers in images 5 and 6. If you can help I’d greatly appreciate it if you leave a comment. Thanks!
